New Blok Development: SEVENONS in Cape Town

Blok is developing a chic new apartment building on the Atlantic Seaboard’s Selbourne Road, only 800 steps from the Lion’s Head Path.

The building consists of eight apartments for optimum privacy and exclusivity within the busy and metropolitan suburb of Sea Point.

Featuring breathtaking views and contemporary design elements, the architectural design team WAUW used the idea of layers to create the overall feel of the space, with state-of-the-art appliances throughout, including Smeg fridges and Beauty Fires fireplaces. Says WAUW, “We believe we have created a truly unique statement that unshackles itself from the expected, while simultaneously fitting in with its surrounds. We further hope that SEVENONS will add a new exciting layer of architectural expression to the area that consistently and gently nudges forward the envelope of Cape Town’s existing residential language.”

The apartments consist of six two-bedroom homes and two penthouses consisting of three bedrooms each. All apartments will have secure parking, CCTV, manned security and a storeroom, as well as “smart home, water and lighting technology that allows the owner to control certain elements of their home from anywhere in the world.” The development will also feature vertical gardens.

SEVENONS is set for construction in early 2016, with occupation set for 1 May 2017.
