Wool Week Cape Town 2015

Visitors to the V&A Waterfront from 7 – 12 April 2015 can look forward to a fusion of creativity and inspiration during a weeklong celebration of South African wool.

Wool Week Cape Town will showcase contemporary ideas, new creations and the infinite possibilities of wool for home decoration, fashion, arts, crafts and architecture.

Cape Wools SA CEO, Louis De Beer said Wool Week is an international initiative supported by the South African wool community, celebrating the versatility, luxuriousness and ecologically-friendly credentials of this natural fibre.

“Wool Weeks have taken place across the world in major cities and iconic destinations including London, Oslo, Madrid and Milan since 2010. It is one of several initiatives for the Campaign for Wool, a global event founded by His Royal Highness, Prince of Wales, also a patron for the event,” he said.

Wool Week Cape Town 2015 will include the Wool Week Expo between 7 – 12 April, showcasing architecture, fashion, decor, arts, crafts and design at the V&A Waterfront Centre Court from 9am until 7pm daily.

There will also be a live Merino sheep display at the Waterfront Amphitheatre on 11 April from 10am until 4pm and the Waterfront Wool Bicycle Ride through the V&A Waterfront on 11 April.
