Win a Home 2017: Season Recap

With the grand finale today, we look back on this exciting season of Win a Home and Team VISI’s stylish rooms.

The last room to be completed by the duos was the lounge, which formed the final piece of Team VISI’s “concrete jungle” puzzle, the theme they’d used throughout the house. Mpho (Mphaga) and Lesego (Masekela) wanted to keep the room relaxed yet sophisticated. They chose bold statement pieces and feature elements: a graphic feature wall painted in vivid Plascon hues, a signed David Ballam photograph, a comfy L-shaped couch adorned with orange scatters that picked up on the wall art, a plush Mid-century armchair, and a bespoke wine rack that the pair designed and had made for their fictional bachelor client. Mirrors reflect these elements and make the room appear larger.

While they didn’t win this final challenge, they have racked up two victories this season for their glamorous master bedroom and classic monochrome kitchen.

The winning duo, who receives a R100 000 cash prize, will be announced during the live final episode. This nail-biting grand finale will be broadcast live on Friday 10 November at 4pm on Afternoon Express, SABC3. Don’t miss it!
