Designer Micaella Pedros is repurposing discarded plastic bottles from the streets of London in a clever furniture-creation project.
“Both materials, wood and plastic bottles, are widely abundant in cities and other places,” says Micaella. “They are lying there as waste, waiting to be reclaimed by people. Joining Bottles seeks to contribute to new beliefs based on what we, as individuals and communities, can do with what is available to us.”
In the video above, Micaella demonstrates one of the many easy and functional ways one can transform something previously regarded as trash into something useful.
