While embracing its difficulty, stone carver Anna Rubincam completely immerses herself in mastering this ancient artistic craft.

“I always find that you have to be a bit mad to be a stone carver,” she says when speaking about the age-old craft. There’s no denying that this incredible skill is something that requires a lot of passion, patience and a penchant for perfection. Despite it being a difficult and time-consuming skill, Anna loves the art of stone carving right down to the sound that the chisel and the stone make as she works on sculpting intricate details. Each of the works starts with a drawing, before clay-moulds are made.
