To find out which wallcoverings are trending, we checked in with Robin Sprong for some visual inspiration.
“Making your home look and feel well curated can easily be accomplished through the use of a great geometric pattern,” says Robin Sprong, Director of bespoke surface design studio Robin Sprong Wallpaper. He predicts a big movement towards modernised African and Asian patterns, and points to designers such as Paula Pappenheim (under the brand Pappenpop) and Tiphaine Alston as popular picks this winter.
As far as colour palettes go, Robin identifies grey, bronze and muted colours as hot hues, and whites, beiges, pale greys and blush pinks as essential tones. The big surprise? Tropical prints. This popular pattern for 2017 may be associated with summer, but Robin favours light-grey tropical leafy wallpaper by Patricia Braune for cooler weather while channelling endless summer.
