Promising insights from the recent London, Paris and Helsinki design weeks, as well as champagne and Babylonstoren giveaways, the last Trend Talk of the year promises to be a fabulous afternoon of inspiration. It takes place at the Plascon Design Centre in Cape Town on Thursday 11 October from 3pm to 5pm.
Reporting back on their Europe design pilgrimages will be Marcia Margolius of the SA Décor & Design Annual, arts writer Judy Bryant and stylist Tracy Lynch (get a taste of Tracy’s presentation here).
Also recently back from international design fairs, are interior architect and store design manager for Woolworths Nick Criticos. And dynamic duo Aidan Hart and Lawrence Holmes of Inhouse Brand Architects, who will reveal the impact of changing lifestyles on office design.
Analyst and researcher Lara Faris from Target Group Index SA will talk about how people are taking self-expression into homes, kitchens, food and fashion. Food stylist and consultant Maranda Engelbrecht will share thoughts about food and excerpts from her beautiful new book.
We advise that you get there early to secure a seat, as there is no advance booking. A voluntary donation of R20 or more, in aid of design charity Rock Girl, will be asked for at the door.
