The Lodge at Udine Golf Club in Northern Italy is an energy-efficient, mountainside golfer’s oasis designed by Filippo Burelli and Giacomo Borta of Uppercut Design.

The latest addition to the Villaverde Hotel & Resort in Fagagna, The Lodge is characterised by distinct lines and a golden rectangular form, surrounded by picturesque mountain ranges close to the Oasis of the Quadris.

Featuring four buildings, each is comprised of a double bedroom studio with a covered patio and two-bedroom apartment with a contemporary living area lit by cascading natural light. The design of the apartments welcome magnificent 360-degree views of the lush golf course. The first bedroom gazes upon the Alpine arc while the second features a bathtub that looks upon endless grassy knolls.

Clever design allows for two units to interconnect and thus cater for big groups. Uppercut‘s approach to the design project encompasses innovative engineering solutions that not only consider environmental impact but also make for quicker building processes and less energy consumption. The Lodge is fossil fuel-free and operates solely with an electrical power supply.
