Inspired by the small Zimbabwean town located on the shores of Lake Kariba, Woodbender’s latest design draws on the natural beauty of its namesake.
The open-back Kariba chair’s compact design does not compromise on comfort, featuring slanted arms and a tilted backrest. Woodbender has also minimised the number of joins and parts, creating a piece with durability at its core.
“Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication and we kept this in mind when designing the Kariba,” explains Woodbender R&D Manager, Grant Longmore. “There was a need in the market for a dining chair that is both compact and comfortable, and we felt that a simple silhouette with a slightly wider seat would be the answer.”
The Kariba is fully customisable. You can choose from Woodbender’s 15 timber options, as well as any fabric for the upholstery.
