Ryno : Best VISI shoot: I recall the first VISI. When we started shooting, the mag did not even have a name. The title came to me in a flash after a long day shooting in Joburg. I wrote it on the inside of the windscreen.|
Alain Proust : Born: France. Favourite summer memory: Lying in our garden with the dogs, looking up at the blue sky, listening to bumble bees and birds. If you can imagine it, I do not need to explain why.|

David Ross : Best VISI shoot: Marrakesh in Morocco. Favourite summer memory: I remember catching butterflies the size of saucers with my sister in the garden in Durban.|
Dawie Verwey : Born: Bellville. Favourite summer holiday: Hiking from Port Edward to Coffee Bay along the beach. It was such a lush, unspoilt, serene and beautiful piece of nature — and we met some great people.|
Dirk Pieters : Born: Joburg. Hobby: Photographing dead plants. Favourite summer memory: We were both about 13 years old, playing Marco Polo in the pool at Badplaas.|
Dook : Born: Singapore. Best VISI shoot: Tokyo, Japan. Hobby: Fly-fishing. Favourite summer memory: As a child on the Cocos Islands, up and out before dawn with my brother, and back after dusk.|
Gerda Genis : Born: Paarl. Hobby: Yoga. Best VISI shoot: The one we did in the Sossusvlei frozen forest in the Namibian desert. It landed me the Media24 Photographer of the Year Award in 2006.|
Greg Cox : Favourite summer memory: It would get very hot in Durban. I’d crank up my parents’ old aircon to “freeze” the room while we swam in the pool. Then we would run inside wrapped in our wet towels and play Atari.|
Lien Botha : Born: Pretoria. Hobby: I talk to birds and they actually reply. Favourite summer memory: Our adventures around the various farm dams and canals that raised us in the 1960s.|
