Since Nando’s started supporting The Creative Block initiative, it has amassed a huge collection of South African contemporary art (over 7 500 pieces) – displayed in restaurants in South Africa and abroad.
The Creative Block project is geared towards giving opportunities to artists of outstanding talent, whether established or newly discovered. Artists are provided with blank wooden blocks, 18x18cm in size, and they submit finished artworks in return for immediate payment, constructive creative feedback and exposure to art collectors the world over.
It gives collectors an affordable and accessible means of buying original art by renowned as well as emerging artists.
