The Cape Town International Public Art Festival will hold its third edition in Salt River from 9 to 17 February 2019.
The theme for this year’s festival is “Generation Next: Educate, Collaborate, Empower,” which builds on the 2018 theme, “Nature doesn’t need us, we need nature”.
The Festival, a collaboration- and education-driven event that aims to inspire change, will run for nine days, featuring a range of entertaining activities, from live painting daily (10 am – 6 pm) to guided street art tours that are open to the public (4:30 pm).
Artists include Aïda Gómez (Spain); Aleksandro Reis (Brazil); Bona_Berlin (Germany); Bongani Mahlathi (South Africa); Decor One (South Africa); Justin Nomad (South Africa); Kipper Millsap (USA), Man.De (Germany); Maye (France); Mernette Swart (South Africa); Mister Bzar (South Africa); Roelien Brink (South Africa); Ryan Allan (South Africa); Said Dokins (Mexico); Seth Pimentel (South Africa); Shinji Akhirah (South Africa); Tim Marsh (France); Urbankhoi (South Africa); Wots (South Africa) and Zola Tsotetsi (South Africa).
Street art tours can be booked up to 48 hours in advance for a minimum of two people per two-hour tour at R650 per person. Children under 12 tour for free.
