Summer Accessory: Koelte Beach Tents

South African photographer Adriaan Oosthuizen has designed a clever beach accessory that’s a must-have for summer.

Known as Koelte, this beach tent is made up of a piece of 3m x 3m stretchy polyester with an Ultra Violet Protection Factor of 50+, blocking 98% of the sun’s harmful rays. Weighing only 4kgs, this clever accessory is perfect for a day at the beach, a camping trip or even an outdoor picnic.

Complete with two aluminium rods, which break apart, as well as four sandbags, tent pegs and rope, Koelte currently retails for R1 750. If you purchase two extra rods, the tent can also be converted into a gazebo.
