In our opinion a mirror should be mobile – easy to transport to where you need it most, into the light, the shower or even the bed.
A mirror should always be close at hand and protected against the seven-years-of-bad-luck curse should it break. A hat like this one, sold in party shops in a choice of colours, makes a neat – not to mention safe – between-use storage place, and the bulldog clip facilitates moving the mirror around and hanging it up to free your hands.
We bought our hat from The Flowerspot in Woodmead, 011 804 5143. The 20cm round mirror is from Homestuff in Randburg, 011 886 8124. Sturdy bulldog clips, such as the one we used, are available from stationery stores.
