Cool Collaboration: Skinny laMinx X Concrete Studio Tiles

WORDS Gina Dionisio

Local textile and homeware brand Skinny laMinx has collaborated with Concrete Studio on a series of playful patterned titles.

A patterned tile can take any kitchen or bathroom to the next level, and the new collaboration between Skinny laMinx and Concrete Studio includes some of the most fun and colourful designs we have seen this year.

Playing and having fun creating patterns has always been at the heart of Heather Moore’s Skinny laMinx brand. “After spotting the patterns I generated during my #100daysofpattern challenge last year, Charmaine Nolte of Concrete Studio approached me about producing a range of concrete tile designs,” says Heather. The result? A collection of concrete tiles inspired by the shapes and colours she sees in her everyday life in Cape Town and on her travels.

Available in six different patterns, the collection of 15X15cm concrete tiles are made to order using UV printing technology at Concrete Studio’s Cape Town facility. They are ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, walls, floors and tables. Different patterns can be created depending on how the tiles are arranged, which means you can have fun mixing and matching to create unique designs.
