Johannesburg-based furniture and decor company ScreenPlay Designs translates the old-world charm of screens into contemporary pieces of functional art.
Founded in 2015 by space-maker Carol Bensusan, artisanal woodwork guru Dave Hlatswayo and Brand Manager/Co-Creative Director Dillon Bensusan, ScreenPlay Designs specialises in bespoke screens and wall pieces with a focus on sociably and environmentally sustainable design that uplifts the local economy and makes use of local talent. The screens are manufactured in South Africa from predominantly local materials.
A combination of fashion, art and functional design, ScreenPlay Designs offers light, sturdy, simple screens with sleek, elegant and customisable finishes that are ideal for creating ambience and transforming a space that is in need of a standout design piece, concealing undesirable clutter or showcasing art in a unique way.
They are available in a variety of themes and styles, ranging from urban, organic, Oriental and African to classic and contemporary. Each screen is one of a kind.
Screens range between R4 000 and R5 000 each.
