An interior designer, Jeanne Stravino worked at Onepointzero and La Grange Interiors (founded by her aunt Charlotte Daneel), before launching her own company, Room 31.
For her three-year-old son Sebastian Matteo’s room, she opted for a practical yet playful look that wouldn’t date too quickly, that includes a feature wall in Plascon’s Nautilous B6-D1-1.
The undisputed pièce de resistance, the three-quarter bunk bed, was “designed to maximise on space, plus it’s great for sleepovers,” she says. “Besides all the storage space, there is also a little secret compartment that he uses as his ‘lift’ to go to his ‘coffee shop’ from where he sells me cappuccinos!”
