WORDS Michaela Stehr
A new designer café has opened in Cape Town’s trendy Woodstock.
What sets this coffee shop apart from the rest is that it is connected to C20 Galerie, an interiors store specialising in mid-century collectables, furniture and repurposed pieces.
Owner Emma de Crespigny is both an avid collector and design dealer, having studied at the Cooper–Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York. The walls of the café also serve as an impromptu gallery space for local artists and designers.
Guests are encouraged to browse the adjacent C20 Galerie showroom, exhibiting 20th century furnishings, lighting and decorative pieces from France, Germany, North America and Italy.
Posie Coffee Shop is open from 8am until 5pm Monday to Friday and from 9am until 4pm on Saturdays. Closed on Sundays. For more information, visit c20galerie.co.za.
