From eco-friendly Reebok sneakers and a colourful basketball court to a trendy desk and a Louis Vuitton cat-inspired collab with Grace Coddington, these are the VISI team’s top picks of the week.

1. Colourful Basketball Court

“In collaboration with non-profit organisation Love.fútbol, design studio All Arquitectura has created a bright blue basketball court in a marginalised area of Mexico City,” says Online Editor Lindi Brownell Meiring. “The project aims to enhance facilities for the local community.”

2. Louis Vuitton X Grace Coddington

“Grace Coddington and cats are two of my favourite things,” says Features Editor Amelia Brown. “Combine Grace Coddington’s actual cats, Pumpkin and Blanket, and a luxury leather handbag brand like Louis Vuitton and I am in heaven! Louis Vuitton debuted its collaboration with Vogue’s contributing editor at the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2019 catwalk show. According to Vogue, ‘The collaboration sees Coddington putting her spin on the brand’s iconic monogram pattern, scattering it with illustrations of her two cats.’”

“I would love to have one of these sleek home desks in my office,” says Deputy Editor Annemarie Meintjes. “I especially like the multi-coloured compartments. It would make for the perfect writing area.”

4. Reebok Plant-based Cotton + Corn Sneaker

“It makes me incredibly happy when large brands move towards a more sustainable product,” says Content Producer Michaela Stehr. “These sneakers found an alternative to the petroleum-based foam and rubber soles used in the making of shoes, instead opting for a bioplastic sole made from corn.”
