PANTONE has announced its Colour of the Year for 2019.

Living Coral, otherwise known as PANTONE 16-1546, is a warm orange hue with golden undertones. Chosen to reflect more than colour trends alone, this nurturing shade aims to promote optimism and light-heartedness.

“Colour is an equalising lens through which we experience our natural and digital realities and this is particularly true for Living Coral,” says Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, Leatrice Eiseman. “With consumers craving human interaction and social connection, the humanising and heartening qualities displayed by the convivial PANTONE Living Coral hit a responsive chord.”
