Cape Town-based Opus Botanical Florist & Design Studio, headed up by Marissa Pretorius, has released its debut collection.
The range takes inspiration from the earth’s surface, including the colours, shapes and textures. “Dreaming of carrying this feeling of serenity with us elsewhere,” says Opus, “we designed a collection of botanically-inspired items to imitate the collage on the surface of the earth.”
Products include flower vases, functional sculptures, natural beauty products, botanically-scented candles, plant designs and photographic prints by Anke Loots.
Stacking Stones, a functional sculpture designed by Opus and made by Three Potters and a Painter, is hand-crafted from clay and can be used as a vase or diffuser. The Crater Vase, also made by Three Potters and a Painter, is exclusive to the collection and is designed to hold individual stems.
