WORDS Michaela Stehr IMAGES Okuda San Miguel
Street artist Okuda San Miguel is known for his bright technicolour murals, some of which we have featured on the VISI website before, like the amazing church skatepark, giant fox mural and his involvement in the vibrant Truck Art Project.
His latest work brightens up a kindergarten in Arcugnano in Northern Italy with colourful geometric characters.
Five main murals were painted along the school’s facade, some of which interact with the architectural structure of the building. Windows are used as eyes for the combination of animal and human characters, which liven up the school’s exterior.
The murals are part of Okuda’s participation in the 3rd edition of the Art In The Streets Project.
