OKHA’s New Candleholder Collection

Cape Town-based design and interiors studio OKHA has launched a new collection entitled Stellar and SUPER STELLAR, featuring a group of candleholders that draw on both cosmic and cultural references.

Inspired by the idea of opposing forces, the range is for designer and OKHA Creative Director Adam Court, “the emotional evocation of starlight, movement, combustion and constellation.”

“These forms are Simplex objects, simultaneously simple and complex, in mathematical terms they represent the principal that 1 + 1 = 3,” he says.

For depth of colour, both the blue and green Stellar candleholders, which are made from mild steel, have undergone an oxidization and patination process. The SUPER STELLAR golden candleholders are made from solid polished brass.
