New Spot: Urbanologi in Joburg

Situated in the Mad Giant brewery at 1 Fox Precinct in Ferreirasdorp, Urbanologi is a new restaurant that aims to bring brains back into food.

Only the best fresh Asian and local ingredients are used, and the search for new flavours and techniques is an ongoing process.

Combining the notion of street food with avant-garde cuisine, the restaurant has taken this approach to the decor, too, with interior and furniture design by Haldane Martin, crockery by Mervyn Gers and graffiti by Justin Nomad.

Urbanologi is open Monday to Saturday from 12pm – 2:45pm for lunch and 6pm – 9pm for dinner, and the bar is open from 12pm – 10pm. On Sundays, the restaurant is open from 12pm – 4:45pm for lunch and the bar is open from 12pm – 6pm.
