Mantua Silkwear’s latest collection In Dreams houses a collection of silk dresses, scarves, robes, dresses and accessories made locally in Stellenbosch.
The concept between the bright range is to honour daily rituals and make them special. Inspired by dreams and hopefulness, the patterns mirror the psychedelic swirls and colours of by-gone decades – representing our subconscious awareness.
Each garment is individually crafted with care, with a series of creative patterns ranging from fruit, leaves and berries to swirls in pastel palettes.
The fabric used is meant to drape over and compliment the body in a comfortable flowing style, evident in their kaftans and robes.
Produced in sustainable quantities, the range also pays homage to the tradition of sewing and textile design.
