Mini Ceramics: Jon Almeda

Washington-based ceramic artist Jon Almeda creates beautiful miniature pottery using a custom-designed motorised curio wheel.

Despite being so tiny, his bowls, kettles and vases can withstand firing and glazing – and the results are whimsical pieces of pottery perfect for a pint-sized world.

Jon uses the creation of his pieces as a form of meditation, as the process takes intense concentration, patience and focus.
