Late Night Architecture with Open Studios 2025

Cape Town’s leading architecture firms and design studios will open their doors on October 15th and 16th for Open Studios 2025 – a free event featuring studio tours, interactive displays, and more.

Founded in 2013, Open Studios is one of the biggest design and architecture events in Cape Town, bringing together design lovers in a unique, city-wide event.

The annual two-day event invites visitors behind the scenes to explore the creative spaces where the city’s most iconic buildings, places, and spaces are brought to life. Each studio experience is completely different, but visitors can expect interactive displays and the chance to meet the visionaries shaping our built environments in a relaxed and social event.

Studios are open from 5pm to 8pm, with most studios within walking distance. Visitors are encouraged to explore the city on foot or by bicycle.

What to expect

​The city-wide event takes place on two nights across Cape Town’s design districts:

• October 15th: Studios in the Central Business District (CBD) will open their doors, with locations stretching from De Waterkant to Kloof Street.
• October 16th: Explore the creative hub of Woodstock, where more studios will offer insight into their cutting-edge projects.
