Do you love celebrating in style? Then do so with the oh-so-elegant 2008 La Motte Méthode Cap Classique.
With vineyards on the southern slopes, 200 metres above sea level, both the Chardonnay and the Pinot Noir grapes from which the wine was made were produced on La Motte in Franschhoek.
Harvesting took place on 4 and 5 February and predictions by farmers of early fruits proved to be correct – the season was at least two weeks later than usual. Fermentation took place in the bottle and the wine was matured on the lees for 29 months. The lees was removed in November 2010 and only 3 300 bottles were released.
With hints of strawberry, the MCC can be enjoyed with a wide selection of foods.
