JR artwork on the Louvre

Artist JR is well known for his colossal photographic collages. His latest endeavour was to create an incredible optical illusion on the facade of the world-famous Louvre Museum.

The entire exterior facade was covered in paper sheets printed with a black and white image of the iconic palace building that surrounds the I.M. Pei pyramid.

When you stand in the right position, the collage lines up with the architecture in the background creating a spectacular anamorphic illusion.
