French designer Victoria Wilmotte, a graduate of the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London, creates playful sculptural designs inspired by shapes.

Her originality and perspective is sharpened in her studio where the simplicity of form inspires how she moves forward with a design.

“Sometimes I just draw things, unsure yet what they’ll grow into,” says Victoria in the clip. “Seeing form pushes me to draw, form helps me to think, to find function. The process is what leads me to this object. This workshop allows me to try things out instantly, and it’s maybe why one can see very simple, highly intuitive shapes.”

The clip above delves into the inner workings of what goes on in her studio and sheds a light on Victoria’s process as a designer.
