NeoMam Studios created seven bedrooms based on the unique styles associated with some of the world’s most well-known film directors, from Sofia Coppola and Wes Anderson to Tim Burton and Guillermo Del Toro.
The Peter Jackson-inspired bedroom takes its cues from the director’s adaptations of The Hobbit and Lord Of The Rings, with distinct references to The Shire, from the natural colour palette to the rounded structure. The bedroom inspired by the work of Guillermo Del Toro, who is known for his out-of-this-world movies like Pan’s Labyrinth, features bold, striking colours, while the pale pastel palette of Sofia Coppola’s room is reminiscent of films like Marie Antoinette.
A part from the vintage touches, colour also comes to the fore in the bedroom inspired by Wes Anderson – aspects of The Royal Tenenbaums and The Grand Budapest Hotel certainly come to mind.
Love Studio Ghibli? You’ll be inspired to recreate the kid’s room NeoMam Studios thought up. Inspired by renowned director Hayao Miyazaki, it’s filled with prints and colourful wallpaper and carpeting. Chequered patterns and stripes epitomise Tim Burton’s eerie bedroom, which wouldn’t look out of place on the set of The Nightmare Before Christmas.
