VISI’s Deputy Editor can’t bring herself to discard any of the glasses she collects on her travels. Instead, she transforms them into candleholders.
Choose any two chipped glasses to glue together, base to base. The best glue for this is UHU epoxy glue, which can be bought in two tubes at stationery shops and hardware stores.
Mix together equal quantities from each tube, making only enough for your immediate use because the product sets fast.
Use a matchstick to apply the glue to the edges of the bases of both glasses you want to stick together, press and hold firmly for a minute, then remove any excess with paint thinners.
It’s as easy as that – ambient lighting with an individual edge and a great way to protect your bath from messy candle wax.
