Freshly baked

Jason’s Bakery on Bree Street (a regular VISI lunchtime distraction), has recently undergone a transformation led by SITE interior design, making it one of the city’s top daytime spots.

Previously a small but top quality bakery, SITE interiors were given the task of redesigning the venue in rapid time and with next to no budget, all while maintaining an open shop. The goal: to take Jason’s from a straightforward bakery to a stylish venue that caters to the demands of an aesthetically sensitive, cool crowd.

Central to the plans for reconstruction, was the notion that the space should be crafted as carefully as the produce itself, and with the use of simple, raw materials. Walls clad in timber, and steel stools and surfaces. thus result in a contemporary log cabin with a warm ambience.

Post rethink and renovation, Jason’s is now much more than just a bakery. From early morning, when Deluxe coffee and dangerously sumptuous pastries fly off the shelves, to the lunchtime rush of supreme sandwiches and salads, 185 Bree Street is the place to be before 3pm on weekdays.
