A fluid space consisting of an interlinking bookshop and restaurant is the new concept behind the Exclusive Books Hyde Park Corner store.

Owner of the branch Benjamin Trisk has partnered with architects Silvio Rech and Lesley Carstens to create a forward-thinking design concept and space for the popular bookstore.

The revamped space is home to a trendy coffee bar made from broken Johnson tiles filled with gold leaf. The restaurant, The Social Kitchen and Bar, blends into the retail space creating a multipurpose area, headed by executive chef Russell Armstrong.

The northern side of the restaurant consists of a breathtaking 40m glass wall overlooking Johannesburg, making it a relaxing place to shop and to eat.

Visit the Exclusive Books Hyde Park Corner store on Sundays and Mondays from 9am until 9pm, Tuesdays to Thursdays from 9am until 10pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 9am until 10:30pm.
