WORDS Mary Garner
Dzia, an Antwerp-based muralist with a MA in Fine Arts from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Belgium, has a fondness for painting wild animals, especially birds and foxes.
His murals are painted in a frenetic whirl of eye-catching colour, using bold, geometric lines. His work, which can be spotted in countries like Spain, China and Norway, sees wild animals placed into unnatural environments.
By adding tonal shading to his more recent pieces he’s managed to create definition and volume within each figure.
