Chocolate trumps almost everything. To make it even sweeter, Cherylle Cowley of The Nice Company is wrapping the new Belgian choccie range in beautiful art.

When Cherylle Cowley started The Nice Company – her ice cream, sorbet and frozen yogurt business – 15 years ago, making chocolate was the last thing on her mind. Until the day a delectable Belgian chocolate melted her heart, leaving her with a burning desire to start her own chocolate business.

Lacking production facilities for yet another venture, Cherylle approached expert chocolatier Richard von Geusau to produce the choccies, leaving her free to do what she’s good at – marketing, conceptualising and distributing.

Cherylle also turned things up a cultural notch by including details of local artist Helmut Starcke’s paintings inside the chocolate wrappers, making the sweet but short culinary indulgence a long-lasting collectable visual pleasure as well.

Cherylle has plans to feature the work of other young and upcoming SA artists, so keep unwrapping.
