Oversized tin cans make ideal recycled holders for cutlery, odds and ends and even house plants.
WHAT YOU NEED
- A collection of large food tins
- Large hammer
- Spray-paint primer
- Spray paint in various colours
- Duct tape
WHAT TO DO
1. Clean the tins thoroughly and leave to dry.
2. Bash in the sides with the hammer.
3. Spray the tins with the primer and leave to dry.
4. Spray-paint them with two to three coats of your chosen colour.
Tip: If the tins have sharp top edges caused by tin openers, lightly tap the sharp ends down with the hammer and cover the top with duct tape. Black duct tape blends in really well with black spray paint.
