Crosby Studios is behind the design of Dizengof 99, a trendy new restaurant in Moscow.
Dizengof 99 is named after a cult film about growing up in Israel, which is fitting, as the restaurant specialises in traditional Israeli cuisine.
Founded by Harry Nuriev and Dmitry Vorontsov, the concept behind the space draws on Israeli dining settings while the exterior boasts a contrasting Memphis period-inspired pattern from the 1980s, featuring a black background with white scattered rectangles .
Moscow-based Crosby Studios tried to mirror the creative suburb of Florentin, Tel Aviv with the simple interior, juxtaposing old and new. Large windows provide natural light, which is unusual for Moscow buildings, many of which try to retain as much heat as possible.
The restaurant is a textural landscape, featuring wood, raw concrete, ceramic tiles, plastic and exposed brickwork.
