Book your seat now for the 2011 Corobrik-ILASA Awards of Excellence, which will light up the Docklands Hotel in Durban on 21 May.
This awards ceremony, celebrating entrants for excellence in landscape architecture on a national level, is held on a bi-annual basis and will for the first time be held in Durban.
The work of landscape architects completed in the past two years in 34 projects across South Africa will be commended on the evening. Another highlight is the celebration of the lifetime achievements of an icon of landscape architecture.
The aim of the Awards is to acknowledge and promote excellence in landscape architecture and environmental planning and management through peer-review recognition. It furthermore promotes landscape architecture to client bodies, other professions and the public.
Entries range from prominent projects such as the Moses Mabhida Stadium Precinct, the Durban Beachfront Promenade, the Green Point Park and Sharpville Memorial to a river rehabilitation project and various community parks.
All entries exhibit an innovative solution/outcome of the project and are of specific value to the profession.
