Talk about maximising space!

This bright basketball court in Paris, initially renovated by Nike and Stephane Ashpool, founder of fashion brand Pigalle, has been reimagined into a functional space with the help of Paris-based Ill Studio.

Situated between two typically Parisian apartment buildings in its namesake arrondissement of Pigalle, the design was inspired by artist Kasimir Malevich’s 1930s painting Sportsmen.

The court was given its colourful makeover in celebration of the launch of Pigalle’s basketball store, located just in front of the space, on Rue Duperré.
