Cheeky chair

Snapp Design had visitors to this year’s Milan Furniture Fair in a spin with the playful Orbit chair. 

The Joburg-based design trio snapped up The Chicago Athenaeum’s Good Design Award in December 2011 with their Slice cutting board, and we think they’ve upped their game even further with the Orbit chair. Inspired by the concept of a spinning top, it’s a tapered drum-like stool with a domed insert in the cork base that lets it rotate on its axis. Too chilled to get up to find something to read? Simply reach down to the side-wall compartment to select your favourite mag. Great news is that the Orbit is also now available in selection of new fabrics from Tessa Sonik Fabric Collection.
