WORDS Mary Garner
Alexandra Dvornikovaby is a Russian artist and printmaker based in London who creates lovingly animated nighttime woodland scenes depicting animals and trees in storybook settings.
There are also depictions of fireflies, ferns, moonbeams and a girl in a dress with flowing hair. The transformative quality of her work is in part owing to her time spent studying art therapy.
“I worked as a volunteer with persons with autism and it was a big part of my life. Unfortunately now I’m not working in this direction, because I moved from Russia. Hope later I will be able to do it again [sic],” says Alexandra.
You can purchase her prints at Society6.
