This small boutique hotel in Stellenbosch is the perfect weekend getaway. Call it biased (Visi’s art director Etienne Hanekom designed the interiors) but this is the most beautiful spot for a dose of summertime R and R.

We’d pick a Mountain View suite (probably suite number 2 with its custom-designed, soothing blue-grey interiors) for views over the Stellenbosch mountains and spend lazy days between the spa, the swimming pool (or heated indoor pool) and über-chic restaurant Makaron.
