Use wooden clothes pegs to turn an old chipped round mirror into a tribute to American designer George Nelson’s famous 1950s Sunburst clocks.
What you’ll need
- A few packets of wooden clothes pegs, depending on the size of your mirror. We used three packets, 72 pegs in total.
How to
- Start with four pegs – at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock – then add one peg exactly half-way between each two.
- Continue in this way until you have an evenly spaced frame.
- Now add a second peg on to the ones at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock, and then a second one on to the peg exactly halfway between each of the two long ones.
- Continue until you have an even pattern – ours worked out as two short, one long, two long and so on.
