Wrapped in blue botanicals

Our love affair with all shades of indigo meant that we couldn’t resist showcasing this new range of fabrics by Romo, now available from the Fabric Library.

Although the new collections come in a rainbow of hues, we’re stuck on the blue ones. Inspired by grand, stately homes and manicured gardens, the collections feature painterly florals that are complemented by the structure and symmetry of striking geometrics.

The vivid shades of blue remind us of gazing up to the sky from a botanical space in full bloom. May we introduce you to each of the collections:

Fougere: A collection of six contemporary prints inspired by botanical gardens, where Victorian architectural structures are seen juxtaposed with exotic florals in a mix of tropical colour and cool, citrus shades.

Fougere wall coverings: The Fougere wall coverings feature statement florals and striking geometrics, including an octagonal trellis design inspired by a ten-storey pagoda.

Somerford: A collection of simple cotton stripes, incorporating a fresh mix of broad, narrow and multi-striped designs.

Dauphine: A painterly floral printed on silk is complemented by striking geometrics woven from luxurious silk, linen and wool blends.

Lanza: Bright, contemporary colours and soft, elegant shades are combined with neutrals and metallics to create striking visual effects.

Ziani: Distinctive geometrics in vivacious colours make a statement for upholstery in this collection of cut velvets. A six-colour stripe is teamed with three geometric designs.

The new collections will be available from September 2011.
