WORDS Mary Garner
The 369 lamp collection, designed by Newport Lighting’s Guy Harris, is named after 30, 60 and 90 degree angles.
The lamps, which are subversions of classic lamp designs, are inspired by a trip Guy took to an oil refinery, and the complicated network of ducts, tubing and industrial pipes inside the plant.
Drawing on Newport’s cluster lamp design, Guy initially created the 369 F3, which has three matching 369 lamps on one stand. The collection also includes a conventional size single arm standing lamp, as well as a table lamp, with its off-centre placement, designed to create space for your coffee or tea mug.
The latest addition to this collection is the over-sized 369 F4 lamp, seen below.
