WORDS Lindi Brownell Meiring
Cape Town-based designer Sera Holland, of textile design brand Handmade By Me, has just launched a brand-new collection, entitled BIOTICA.
After sharing a showroom (which we featured here) with plant specialist Windowsill for the past year, Sera found inspiration in her everyday surroundings to create this range, in leaves, flowers and plants, as well as her current obsession with millennial pink.
“I love the combination of print and pattern, and the contrast between geometric and organic,” says Sera on the new collection. “The range works so well on its own, and you can play around with most of the designs to come up with some interesting combinations.”
BIOTICA is available in a wide array of colourways and patterns, including Foliage, which can be seen specifically on trays and pot stands, as well as on greeting cards, wallpaper, cushion covers, napkins, tea towels, table runners, tote bags and purses, with more products, such as hotel slippers, baby products and aprons being added over the next few weeks.
To shop the range, visit the showroom at 21 De Lorentz Street, Tamboerskloof, Cape Town or shop online at handmadebyme.co.za.
