First-year UK-based textiles student Lucinda Rogers has won wallpaper studio Lewis & Wood’s Student Wide Width Wallpaper Design Competition 2017 – with her designs now forming part of a new collection.
This well-deserving winner is currently studying in the UK at Bath Spa University, with aspirations of becoming a textile designer. “I grew up on top of the Cotswolds and have always been hugely inspired by nature and the garden at home, which is full of trees, old fashioned roses and lavender,” she says.
Inspired by this upbringing in a rural environment, Lucinda’s collection, titled Cinda Roses, is made up of four different wallpapers: Blue Yonder, Magic, Genie and Sunshine, all of which tie in with the overarching floral theme.
The wallpaper is locally available for purchase at St Leger & Viney. For more information, visit stleger.co.za.
