Dsignedby: Kitch’T Kitchen Unit

For a rolling stone who likes to cook, the Kitch’ T kitchen unit by Serbian design group Dsignedby is just the ticket.

As our living spaces become smaller, interior designers are coming up with some innovative compact designs. And then there’s the Kitch’  T, which not only fits into a flat but is also transportable! It is the ultimate all-in-one kitchen unit for young people who’re constantly on the move or those with not enough space for built-in kitchen cabinets.

Dsignedby was established by sisters Irena and Iva Kilibarda in Belgrade in 2008. They believe furniture should always be both functional and beautiful.

The Kitch’T is an adaptable unit in wood, metal and Corian (a solid-surface material), with everything fitted beneath the counter. It is made up of a Table T (another Dsignedby design), and a Corian countertop and table extension. The red oak doors don’t have handles; they’re opened by pressing against the wood.

The unit includes electrical and USB sockets, and easy connection to water and electricity supplies. There’s seating for three people around the Table T at one end, and washing-up is at the opposite end. The unit has ample storage space, Bosch appliances and a minibar, and LED lighting ensures visibility inside cupboards and drawers.
