In London’s East Dulwich, you’ll find the House of Dreams. Started by artist Stephen Wright together with his partner Donald in 1998, this house has become much more than a collection of colourful objects.
“The purpose was really to leave something behind after I’ve gone, I wanted to make something that was permanent,” explains Stephen, who decided to continue with the house after the sad passing of his partner two years into the project.

It’s filled with objects that no longer have a home, objects that Stephen now considers family.
The house is open to the public, so if you’re heading to London anytime soon, make sure to check stephenwrightartist.com to find out exactly when this mini museum of curiosities opens its doors.
